Update: So it was great to see Sunburned after being here for only a week and my god it was an experience! The venue, Ekko, is run by volunteers.. Singapore needs more show venues like this. Just a little club with the right atmosphere. For the first half hour they did the soundtrack to Ira Cohen's hippie classic The Invasion of Thunderbolt Pagoda. The film was screened in the background while the band played, some lying down some crouched in the corners or squatting down. Whatever, it was great. Machinefabriek was good too, but his set was too short. That was at Sju and its a pretty chill basement jazz club. I should bee going back there for some lazy evenings when there's free shows. Anyway Machinefabriek is playing again at the Zuid Bij Zuidwest festival in Tilburg on the 23/24th of September so I'm seeing him again.

Push the Triangle sounded like Supersilent, saxophonist, drums and guitar. Nothing to complain about but I was just waiting for Sunburned so that kinda spoilt it for me. Sasha, the Croatian guy I went with, bought the cd so i'll have a listen to that. And Serge, the guy I met at Pukkelpop in Belgium came along too! Nice to meet him again, he was on the way home to Tilburg from work so he stopped by Utrecht so thats cool.
